Oles Burak is Principal Trumpet of the Thuringia Philharmonic Gotha-Eisenach. He studied in Kyiv, with Prof. Klaus Bräker in Detmold and with Prof. Jürgen Ellensohn in Würzburg, and is a prizewinner of international competitions, including the Bertold Hummel Competition and the Juozas Pakalnis Competition in Vilnius. As a soloist he performs with organ, piano and orchestra, from the Baroque to the present day. Concerts have taken him to the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Bachfest Eisenach and Lithuania, among others. As a guest he plays with orchestras such as the Frankfurt Opera and Museum Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Weimar. He teaches at the Johann Sebastian Bach Music School in Eisenach and is a brass tutor with the Thuringia State Youth Orchestra.
